Buriton Parish Council

Community website design for a Hampshire village, supporting news, events, groups, parish council updates and local information.

A long-running, actively maintained website that works as both a practical information hub and a community archive.

A long-running community website for a busy Hampshire village

Buriton.info is a community website for the village of Buriton in Hampshire. Actively maintained by the community and the parish council, the site has grown into a substantial local resource covering village news, events, groups, local information, parish council updates and community history.

This community website design project focused on creating a practical, maintainable platform that could support regular publishing over many years. Rather than acting as a simple brochure site, Buriton.info works as a living archive and day-to-day information hub for residents, local organisations and visitors, connecting closely with Ultraluminal’s wider website design and build work.

The website brings together news, forthcoming events, group pages, parish council information, agendas, minutes, local links, weather, magazine content and community activities. Its strength is the depth and usefulness of the information it holds, with content spanning more than a decade. This kind of structured publishing connects naturally with SEO and content support.

As a long-running content-managed website, the project also reflects Ultraluminal’s Drupal development and support, giving editors a structured platform for managing news, events, parish council information and community resources.

The result is a website that supports civic communication, local participation and community memory, while giving editors a structured platform for keeping information current.

We couldn’t manage without Ali. He’s always quick to reply to our queries and explains options and issues to us in a clear and non-technical way. His advice is always sound and is excellent value for money.
